Low Cost Adwords

For
those that haven’t heard of Adwords before here it is …
Adwords
is Googles advertising tool. Google charge you for every time someone
clicks on your ad by the amount you specified upon setup. This amount
will vary depending on where you want your ad to be placed. If you are
advertising in a highly competitive market the cost for someone to
click on your highly placed ad would be more expensive than a low
competitive market.
The
problem with this is that to bid on the highly competitive keywords
(the search term that someone enters in the search engines) would be
far to expensive for anyone just starting out. Especially if you get
your Adwords campaign wrong and the product you promote doesn’t sell a
thing! Google will still be knocking on your door for the money you
owe them for all the people that have clicked on your ad.
Therefore we do not want to advertise using the normal, over populated
Adwords route. Instead we are going to be a little bit sneaky and use
a technique that only the top marketers know about …directly targeting
our Adwords to appear on the natural listing sites in Google.
More on
that in a minute, but first we need to find a product to promote that
has an affiliate program.
What is an Affiliate program?
An
affiliate program on the internet is simply where a website is selling
a product and they will pay you a commission on every sale you
generate from the traffic you send them. So all you have to do is send
your visitors to another web page.
The
company who sells the product provides you with an affiliate link,
which is your unique url. This tracks all the clicks you get and
automatically credits you for a sale you generate.
Where do I find an affiliate program?
There
are thousands of affiliate programs around but for this example I will
use one network called Clickbank.
Who are Clickbank?
Clickbank is the worlds leading seller of digital products and handles
credit card payments. Clickbank handles all payments, commissions and
transactions and sends a check every two weeks to affiliates and
publishers. Clickbank is free to join and is available in over 100
countries around the world. With one Clickbank account you are able to
promote all of the products advertised on their network. Don’t worry
about which products to choose, it is quite easy to choose the top
performing products which will make you the most money which I will
show you later.

track your CPM results as we are looking for a percentage of around
20% using this method. Therefore every 1 in 5 people that view the
website will click on our add.
If we
are only getting low percentages then it might be worth either trying
a different site or entering another market.

note: If you wish to retract your ad it will take Google hours to do
this. You must track your spending at all times in order not to have
your campaign runaway with site views and no clicks on your link. You
